VCs typically don't sign NDAs. Given how many deals they see, it's just not prudent to so usually. There are exceptions to all of this of course, but it's uncommon.

If a company provides investor materials marked confidential you may want to decline reviewing the materials until you have come to an agreement on your legal obligations and ethical considerations.
