Can Start Fund accept Indian LPs?

Can Start Funds accept Limited Partners that reside in India?

No. Start Funds can not accept Limited Partners that reside in India. The country of India has very challenging currency controls which make it extremely difficult for Limited Partners that reside there to invest and to receive distributions.

 You should probably distinguish between LPs who are using India accounts and those who are not.  For example, we have LPs in Africa.  They wire from accounts in US, UAE, London.

in my answer, I did mention 'Start Funds can not accept Limited Partners that reside in India.' Since there are a good amount of edge cases, we handle these requests on a cases by case basis.
