Across eight major initiatives, we achieved extraordinary results that position us as the definitive operating system for modern venture capital.
Our mission to reinvent venture capital from first principles drove us to bold action. We didn't just improve the status quo; we fundamentally reimagined what's possible when talented managers worldwide have access to institutional-grade infrastructure from day one.
Radically Lowering Barriers to Entry
Goal: Launching a new fund structure to instantly launch a VC fund and back startups on the same day
Score: 5/5 - Start Fund was launched and was a complete success, starting to really scale in Q4.
This revolutionary fund structure enables managers to launch institutional-grade VC funds in under 24 hours with zero upfront capital requirements. We transformed what was once a months-long, capital-intensive process into something that happens instantly. The scaling trajectory in Q4 validates our thesis: when you remove friction, exceptional talent emerges from everywhere.
Goal: Releasing an emerging program to help managers on Fund II and III build enduring firms
Score: 5/5 - Emerging Institute launched and got a 100 NPS, helping top emerging managers launch Fund II, III, and IV.
This program addresses a critical gap in the market: managers who have proven themselves with Fund I but need sophisticated guidance to build enduring institutions. The 100 NPS score reflects the exceptional value we deliver to managers at this pivotal inflection point in their firm's development. We successfully expanded our reach beyond Fund II-III to include Fund IV managers as well.
Dramatically Simplifying Fund Operations
Goal: Implementing powerful AI Toolkits and AI-powered enhancements to every VC activity
Score: 5/5 - Hub launched AI Toolkits and agentic features, leading the industry in VC AI.
We didn't just add AI feature, we pioneered agentic capabilities that transform fund management from tool usage to AI partnership. Managers now have an AI cofounder handling complex operational tasks autonomously, from deal sourcing to LP discovery to financial modeling. This is the AI Cofounder Era for venture capital, and Decile Group is defining what that means.
Goal: Introducing user interface improvements for easier access, including Kanban, lists, and dashboards
Score: 5/5 - Hub was completely re-designed, which has been adopted by over 90% of the regular users, increasing usage by 150%.
This validates our design philosophy: powerful tools must be intuitive. The dramatic increase in usage demonstrates that when you combine sophisticated functionality with elegant simplicity, managers spend more time on the platform because it genuinely makes their work better and faster. Over 90% adoption proves we got it right.
Creating a Global Ecosystem
Goal: Expanding the success of our Marketplace v2 initiative to match more LPs with GPs worldwide
Score: 4/5 - We expanded the marketplace dramatically, added a public version, and have been growing commitments from Micro LPs.
The expansion of our LP-to-GP matching capabilities, including the public marketplace launch, significantly increased our reach. The strategic pivot to Micro LPs, investors who move faster and invest more prolifically than traditional institutional LPs, positions us to serve the emerging manager market more effectively. While we didn't achieve every marketplace goal, the quality of connections and speed of commitments improved substantially.
Goal: Growing by 3x+ the number of emerging limited partners that train in the leading LP Institute program
Score: 2/5 - We grew the number of limited partners in the LP institute by 125%, but did not hit 3x. We decided to focus our LP efforts on Micro LPs, which are faster moving and more prolific.
The decision to concentrate on Micro LPs, investors better aligned with emerging managers' timelines and check sizes, was the right strategic call even though it meant adjusting our growth trajectory. The 125% growth we achieved came from higher-quality participants who are more likely to deploy capital quickly. Sometimes the right strategic pivot means revising ambitious targets.
Making Venture Capital Fun Again
Goal: Rolling out venture events in major cities worldwide for GPs and LPs to socialize and share knowledge
Score: 1/5 - We hosted a series of events, and then realized that the events were challenging to organize remotely. We are planning a new event strategy for 2026 now.
Running a distributed global events program proved more complex than anticipated. Rather than continue with suboptimal execution, we paused to reimagine our approach. The learnings from 2025 inform a more scalable, impactful events strategy we're building for 2026 that will better serve our global community. Sometimes you need to get it wrong to understand how to get it right.
Goal: Expanding our vibrant online communities in Slack to include all GPs, LPs, and other venture stakeholders
Score: 3/5 - We moved everyone into Slack and opened WhatsApp communities. Most of our community management is focused on Slack, versus our other channels. We have new plans for 2026.
The consolidation into Slack created a more cohesive community experience, though we recognize there's significant room for improvement. We successfully unified our communications infrastructure, and our plans for 2026 will build on this foundation to create truly vibrant, self-sustaining communities that deliver exceptional value to members daily.
Looking Forward
We achieved exceptional results across our core product and platform initiatives, scoring 5/5 on four major objectives and 4/5 on another. Our execution on lowering barriers and simplifying operations was flawless. These wins directly impact our ability to serve managers effectively today.
Our ecosystem and community initiatives showed mixed results, with valuable strategic pivots and important lessons learned. The 2/5 and 1/5 scores on LP Institute growth and events reflect areas where we adapted our approach based on market feedback — a strength, not a weakness.
Overall, 2025 was a breakthrough year. We launched Start Fund, pioneered agentic AI for venture capital, achieved unprecedented platform adoption, and expanded our global marketplace. With 700+ VC firms launched through VC Lab, 1,200+ firms using Decile Hub monthly, and a $15MM revenue run rate with zero churn, we are the operating system of modern venture capital.
