Hi Ksenia, if you ask this question to the AI, does it provide a solid response?
Thanks for the quick response, Woody! Here's what I have from the AI Assistant below. I understand the small differences e.g. ability to edit, view, etc. I'm struggling to understand how it impacts the investment process and what happens to the deal in the system after.
"Export and share a Deal Memo allows you to select specific sections to include or exclude before sharing it with others. Closing a Deal Memo finalizes it, creating a record in the Deal Memo Data Rooms, and notifies team members. Once closed, team members who haven't completed their scores can't see others' scores until they submit their own to prevent bias. For more details, visit Decile Group."
Hi , I'm late responding to this one but happy to help.
Share and Export will export a PDF of your memo, with any attachments or elements you submit. This can be useful for sending your memo to people who may not have a Decile Hub login in your workspace - for example, if you want to syndicate the deal to other investors, or, showcase your great deal evaluation by sharing a memo with a prospective LP.
Close Memo - think about this as "finalizing" the deal memo. After you confirm you want to close a deal memo, it's no longer editable. This is a way of preserving the deal memo as a historical artefact of your decision making (think about it like exporting a Word document as a pdf). It creates a locked version of the memo, stores it in your dataroom, and notifies team members.
You may want to share/export a deal memo that's in progress, which is why both buttons are available at the same time. You can always share/export a closed memo.
